Autumn is a multidisciplinary creative professional. She has 15 years of industry experience working with both on and offline visual communication and design. She is ambitious and passionate about everything creative—especially branding, compositions, typography, book layout, writing, and photography. Autumn is also easy to get along with and loves to help people realize their visions.

Grey Girl Graphics, Salem — Project Manager/ Freelance Graphic Designer
August 2016 - PRESENT

  • Project Manager for HINCHAS Press- book design, layout, cover, illustration, publishing coordinator, web designer, e-book layout, marketing director  
  • Branding and Marketing Designer- logo design, web design, business suites, marketing materials and poster design
  • Co-founder of Librarians With Spines, a social justice publication and blog
  • Created online course including video classes, quizzes, handouts and projects for Galileo Online School- designed for teens.

Autumn Steam Ceramics, Salem — Artist/Sole Proprietor 
January 2010 - PRESENT

  • Organized and ran 40 art shows and festivals in Portland and Salem.
  • Created sculptured forms from my studio and sold them at markets.
  • Organized an international artshow with 100 artists and publication that was featured in the Statesman Journal in 2013. The art was on display for months as it traveled down the west coast, ending in LA. 

Willamette Valley Mushroom Society, Salem — Vice-President
January 2018 - PRESENT

  • Membership Director 2018-2019, Treasurer 2019-2021
  • WVMS Funga Project Chair- Created an educational curriculum dedicated to identifying, documenting and learning about the biodiversity of Oregon’s fungi. Vouchered specimens and DNA sequenced. 
  • Created an online space for our membership during the pandemic lockdowns and kept our membership at about 200 members.
  • Hosted weekly meetings on Zoom to discuss the biodiversity of fungi, teaching a course on fungi taxonomy and identification, hosted book discussions and taught safety classes. 
  • Lead groups of folks into the Oregon wilderness to find fungi to voucher and send to herbariums.

2021 awarded the highest grant to DNA sequence 50 fungal specimens from the Fungal Diversity Survey (FunDiS).
2021 awarded the most popular event at the Urban Librarians Conference for presentation on Publishing for BIPOC Communities.
2017 won the award for Best Portrait/Figure at the Mini Canvas Art Show in October 2017 from Art Department, Salem, OR.
2017 was awarded the President's List for maintaining my 4.0 GPA from Southern New Hampshire University.
